Partnering with Urban Alert Is A Plus To FCCPC.

The Urban Alert team paid a courtesy call to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission – FCCPC, Southwest Zonal Office, and was received by the Southwest Zonal Coordinator of the commission, Alhaji Garba Hammed alongside other members of staff.

Urban Alert’s Program Officer, Julius Ayowole reiterated the importance of the courtesy visit which is to create awareness on the existence of the Urban Alert initiative and also work in partnership with the commission in addressing and solving anomalies which have become social norms in the country. He further disclosed that a strong working relationship between Urban Alert and FCCPC will help in reaching the masses better while solving issues relating to consumption and consumer protection.

Welcoming the team, the FCCPC Southwest Zonal Coordinator thanked the Urban Alert team for the visit and assured them of being taken in as a family member of the commission. He also stated that the genuineness of the initiative is a plus to the partnership, as the commission is more than willing to resolve every social issue advanced to it by the Urban Alert team. Alhaji Garba further affirmed that the commission will do their best in conjunction with the Urban Alert team in bringing solutions to identified social issues in the state.

Appreciating the Urban Alert team for the visit, the Head of the Quality Assurance Department of FCCPC, Mr. Akinwumi emphasized the continuous need for government agencies to work hand-in-hand in building a sustainable social environment and that the commission is working assiduously to rid of substandard and adulterated products in the country.
